I wear a hearing aid and have to use an app for the hearing aid I have as it's not compatible with my phone. I want to lock the app and keep open in the background but my phone won't allow me to do so, but I've locked and kept open in the background the samsung wearable app but it won't allow me to do the same with my hearing aid. Any help on this would be much appreciated, thank you. The type of samsung phone I have is a samsung galaxy a54.

You could go into settings > Device care > Battery > Background limits. Make sure the app isn't in deep sleep. See if that is the reason it won't lock and stay in background.

As Fiona said another quicker way is short press on app app Info battery then select unrestricted

In my case I bring up multiple tasking that shkws all the open apps and tap on the app which brings up a pop up and then tap on Keep Open which I believe will allow upto 3 apps to be kept open.

It might be worth enquiring with the developer of the app and also send feedback via your Samsung Members App @Jasmine614
