Does anyone know if we can un-enroll and then re-enrolll on the Google advanced protection program just so we can,for example download all our Google photos incase we loose them?

Yeah you can. Though you shouldn't need to if you wanted to backup your photos. You should be able to do a data download request thing and select just google photos data.

As for the enroll and unenroll, it's just a button in the security part of your google account

I cant.loose the email address and I only had this problem since the new Samsung /android 16 update to new system protection

Oh wait so you're actually just locked out of your account?

To enable advanced protection you need to own a physical passkey device, did you lose it or something?

The toggle for advanced protection in android 16 has nothing to do with your google account. You have the option to also enabled advanced protection for your google account if you setup a physical passkey.

Nothing here relates to android 16 or samsung, this is just a google feature.

If you never setup correct account recovery, setup account advanced protection then lost your passkey, that might be more on you than anything.



To sorta clarify. Android 16 added an advanced protection toggle on settings. This toggle adds extra protection to your phone. In the same menu is also a link to google account advanced protection. This has existed for years. Enabling account advanced protection is designed to protect your account from advanced hacking.

If you enabled advanced protection on your account, it forces you to add backup details to recover your account.

I'm kinda confused how you were able to enable it, then lost all of your backup methods
