Guys I just bought a Galaxy A55. My last phone was a S9+. Im pretty happy about the phone. The only issue I have is that when I tilt the screen I have like a rainbowish effect especially on a white background . I dont have another cam than the one on my phone so I cant take picture but I've found one that is exactly similar to  my problem:

That's something I didn't have on my S9+. Is it normal ? Is it because it's a midrange phone and not a flagship one ?

Thanks for your help !

Was thinking it may have something to do with what looks like a glass or bottle in the background. Maybe the way the light is falling on the screen. Does this rainbow effect manifest itself in other locations?

Hello! No it can happen everywhere.

Although not your phone I found this review about the A54 5G

High Brightness Mode affects the picture rendering, with skin tones appearing flat and the presence of a strong yellow/green cast on the screen
When viewing at an angle, the screen becomes iridescent, showing pink to green casts

Looks like the A55 suffers the same problem.

UPDATE: Just found this test

Yeah that's exactly the problem I have but even if I modify the brightness it remains. I watched a lot of reviews on the phone before buying it and no one talked about that.

How steep does the angle have to be before the rainbow pattern occurs.?

I think it's easier to understand with a drawing :smiling-face:

Is it something you can live with? How long have you owned the phone? Maybe if still within a cooling off period then consider returning / replacement. Likely get the same problem though. TBH that's quite a shallow angle and usually phone would be tilted towards you.

Do you always use your phone at a 160 degree angle?

Obviously not when I'm standing up, but for example when I'm in bed, yes, the phone is in front of me.
