How do I restart and shutdown this phone.also how to take screenshot.

Any clues please.

There should be a power button on the side of the phone to turn off and turn back On your phone @hippywus 

If its set to bixby then press the power key and volume down to get to the power off menu.

You can reassign this button to solely power off the phone via Settings.

Settings > Advanced features > Side Key > Choose power Off Menu.

To take a screenshot press the volume down button and power button at the same time for a few seconds.

There also be settings in your phone for a palm swipe technique.

Thanks very much. Bixby appeared on my phone uninvited!!! I don't know if I want/need it.
I cannot press 2 required keys at once so cannot always get a screenshot. Also difficult to switch phone off. Cheers

Bixby and the bixby route via the key are activated out of the box so it's then upto the owner to change the available settings and button routing @hippywus 

There maybe a setting called palm swipe in your phone's settings that allows a user to do just that to take a screenshot.
