Galaxy A52 5G

Up until the end of 2023 Samsung were really good at getting monthly security updates rolled out to the A52 5G. 

But now, nothing since the 1 January 2024 update.

What's happened?

Hey @onthehorizon.

I can confirm that updates are released quarterly. The software updates are usually released in batches and can take a while before they become available to your phone. It depends on the phone's model, where it was purchased, and if it's unlocked or locked to a particular network.

That phone is now on quarterly updates. It's been replaced by the A52s, A53 and A54, so it's 4 generation old now.

Any citations for the phone being on quarterly updates? The update policy does not confirm that yet.

Just received the February 2024 security update in the UK. I have also seen reports of late distribution of this patch in the US and Pakistan. The Samsung support team has confirmed that the A52 5g is still on monthly updates until March 2025 when support ends.
