I purchased the galaxy A16 5G a week ago and my data keeps randomly dropping where it won't connect and the only way to fix it is by restarting the phone and it only fixes it temporarily and then the issue comes back. I've even tried airplane mode trick which was also a temporary fix any suggestions on what else I can try?

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

This seems to me like a SIM provider issue and poor connection in your area.

Reach out to them.

*Go on Google and search "SIM coverage check" followed by your specific provider.

---------------------------
Have you tried another sim which you KNOW works?

Go to settings- General- reset- Reset mobile network settings

Hi @CuteKitty92 and warm welcome 👋

Have you tried different sim cards and see if there's an issue with your sim card?

Also try reseting mobile network settings.
To do so go to :
Settings > general management > reset > reset mobile network settings.

Also depending on your carrier worth checking on coverage online.

This is a phone issue. Since the update samsung screwed over loads of phones with signal. Try putting a different sim in it and i gurantee the same thing will happen. It is samsung not the provider causing this issue. Mine has done the same

Makes no sense? You physically cannot know- i said "this seems to ME"

Unless you have their device to personally test....

"Ive expericed it so now its a fact" - i havent so..... guess that logic is out the window.

Samsung have millions of users- if it was the update- they woudve pulled it.

I know its not the device and/or the providers as this has been happening for a while now and samsung dont take ownership of the issue. Its happening to so many samsung phones it is becoming silly. Including mine
