The latest update to my A535G on the 1st June has left me somewhat short tempered. Things have changed and not to my advantage, change for change sake.
1) my phone won't switch on immediately when it goes to sleep, now have to do it more than once, then some speech box appears so have to start over again.
2) In the gallery I was able to scroll down my 600 photos using an arrow on the right hand side which sped through them to the bottom, can't do that now, have to keep on flicking, flicking and flicking through with my finger to get to the bottom instead, so annoying and time consuming. An arrow in the middle at the bottom will take me back up to the top immediately but that's it.
3) Flicking the phone screen in the middle at the top took me to the controls, so easy, now I have to flick from the top right hand corner and controls have moved, what's the purpose of this?
4) Day 1 of the update, couldn't see how to turn my phone off because for some reason that has changed too, pointless and unnecessary.
5) the battery indication box in the top right corner is barely visible with my wallpaper and when it starts to run down a black shadow creeps along to say how much I've got left so now I can't see it at all, again, utterly pointless and annoying.
Is there any way these things can be rectified? I am due a new phone soon and feel that with these changes another Samsung probably won't be my choice unless I can get things sorted to make it easy for me.
Hope someone has some answers please. TIA

I made a call and yes there is an icon showing that looks like a tape recorder, see picture, but you have to press it to record a call, it doesn't do it automatically.

Sidebar swiper has suddenly appeared today, thank goodness for that.
