There is no one setup for all types of photo, are you talking general day light , night, close objects , landscape , buildings , cars , people?
On my A70 I tend have my pro mode set to -0.5 or -1 on exposure correction, iso set to the base 100 and white balance around 5500-5600 for daylight.

Then I mainly use the night mode , I only use the standard photo mode if I want the HDR option , which I'm not a fan of.

But for clarity I use night mode as the textures look a bit sharper, I'm not sure about your A71 as it's got a newer better sensor than mine.
