So I have a A71 with the latest update, working perfectly for the past year, yesterday I put it to charge overnight. 100%. Used it several times texting and on the internet. Then I tried to wake the phone to inter my code and I noticed the screen was black and power button unresponsive. I tried to turn it off and it didn't do anything.
Then I saw the icon shows up for restart and power off and I pressed it - nothing happened. Then I noticed that the edge panel was there. I could move up and don in the panel, but everything I clicked (for example "take a note"), nothing worked and the screen turned black again. It was like there was no software, no UI to go to...I could still go back to the edge panel though but nothing else worked.
I did a soft reset and now everything's working thankfully but I really wanna know what that was....It got me scared. Anyone has any ideas?

Sometimes tech can exhibit hiccups with either hardware or software @Budward
It's one of those anomalies.
I personally turn my phone off overnight as this will also help to refresh the phone by this type of reboot it.
Personally I have always charged my phone up overnight, turned off , to 💯 % on normal charge and haven't experienced any issues.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
