A71 4G side button torch very dim after update

So yesterday I updated to A715FXXU8BVA2.  Since then the torch, when opened from the side button shortcut) has been very dim (Level 1) and is all but useless for what I need. Opening the torch using the quick menu works fine and is at level 3 which is default and fine. But the side button only ever does level 1. 

I really need this fixed as I need to have quick access to it for work. It was working fine until the update yesterday.
