A53 5G- One UI 7.0

On using the keyboard this afternoon, somehow the keyboard changed to being smaller and it can be moved around the screen.

I'd like it back to it's normal 'fixed' position, at the bottom of the screen but I can't find how to do this.  I've been to settings, General Management, Keyboard list and default but I can't find anything in there.

I tend to 'swipe' to type, if that makes any difference.  It's currently set on Gboard

I'm hoping someone can  'educate' me in changing this back to a static one, please?

Many thanks

Hi,
If your Samsung keyboard has become smaller, you can easily adjust its size within the keyboard settings. Navigate to Settings > General management > Samsung Keyboard settings > Size and transparency, then drag the handles to resize the keyboard to your desired dimensions. You can also reset the keyboard to its default size if needed.

To resize the Gboard keyboard on your Android device, open the keyboard, tap the "4 squares" icon on the top left of the keyboard, then select "Resize". You can then adjust the keyboard height and width using the drag handles

Thanks for your response :smiling-face:

After going into 'General Management', my options, re keyboard, only include 'Gboard settings' and 'Keyboard list and default'

There isn't a 'Size and Treansparency' option anywhere in either of these two

I have tried moving the 'rounded corners' that show if I long-press on the keyboard and have managed, somehow, to make it even smaller, and can move around the screen but how to get it back to normal, I've just no idea.

Apologies.  I'm not normally such a 'numpty'  LOL  :winking-face:

Gboard allows users to adjust both the size and transparency of the keyboard on Android devices. To change the size, you can access the Gboard settings, typically through the keyboard's toolbar or the device's settings app, and then use handles to resize the keyboard. Transparency settings, particularly for the floating keyboard mode, are also available within the keyboard settings

Thanks.  I think I'll have to play around with it and try to sort it out :winking-face:
