A51 smartphone

I like my A51 so far, I've had it a week. There's just been one significant problem, either I or the phone have deleted a bunch of photos from my SD card. I accept that I could have done something stupid, but I don't know what; I'm equally prepared to blame a phone fault. Would be good to know if anyone else has had the same issue.

the photos might not be showing in your phone gallery but have you gone into the Samsung folder... file manager... and explored through the photos through there just to see if they are there?

did you move a memory card from a old phone to your A51? and if so what model did you move from?

Yes, I moved the card from an old S5 neo, so it's not a different manufacturer at least.
Good idea to look in the file manager, but they don't seem to be there. I'll continue searching.

if the phone file manager has no joy then try a PC / Laptop file manager.

recycle bin wasn't on the S5 Neo... the A51 im sure has that feature... I dont know if you activated it but I'm sure you would have found that by now.

worst case scenario you can try google play store and find highly rated 3rd party apps that might be able to recover deleted images. most are trash apps but some I think do work.

Good ideas. I do have a working retriever app on my laptop so if I can find a card adaptor I'll try that. Thanks.
