Google Pay does not seem to be working with the beta software.

Google Pay never works with Samsung betas - it's part of the google pay agreement/terms. It's only compatible with "final" software versions that have been verified/approved.

It worked fine for me at the local Asda.

Google pay won't work as the SafetyNet checks fail on beta firmware as the signature isn't registered with Google.

yeah i got the notification saying i no longer use nfc payments, but the app is also ignoring that for some reason

I've changed my mind since my earlier comment - it did work tonight.
Slightly worrying, because could mean Google Pay isn't doing the right checks, or the OneUI3.0 version some of us are using is deemed the final version that will roll out...
Or it could just be Google's systems delayed when checking.

I woke up to this notification, which gave that popup/message. I guess it just took overnight for a check to happen.

if OnePlus, a SmAlL cOmPaNy can manage Pay and safety net to work on their betas, so should Samsung, after getting off their lazy arses.
