Sliding down from home screen issue

Is it only me or someone else is having this issue

When i try to slide down from the middle of the home screen the notification menu should open which it does but most of the time instead of notification menu opening it opens the app the I'm sliding my finger at it 

Example if there's a whatsapp icon at the position that I'm sliding down then it opens whatsapp instead of notifications

Please try to perform wipe cache partition. If that doesn't help - please send an error report through Samsung Members app so that the developers can take a look 😊

I have reset my whole phone and performed wipe cache partition but i have the same issue
