SIM update required

I often get mobile data issues. When I go to settings/connectiond/sim I will get prompted to do a sim card update. SIM cards drop out for a few seconds while running then issues with data are resolved.

I think it would be helpful if you recieved a notification to say SIMS need updating rather than having to manually navigate through settings.

I have submitted this as feedback, what do you guys think?

Any chance you have an esim?

As soon as I swapped to only having an esim, I get the same popup when entering sim manager once per reboot.

No data issues for me though.

I have a slight theory that for you, the data issues and popup are unrelated. The popup just toggles your connection on and off, which fixes your signal issue. Same as toggling aeroplane mode on and off

Spot on, esim installed. You are most likely right about it your theory.

Might switch it out to physical sim for a bit and see how it goes
