Feels like a polished One UI 7, not a real leap.

Adds Android 16 basics plus a few Galaxy S25 features (Auracast, Quick Share refresh, Call Assist, Gemini Live).

Rollout is slow, and on S23 Ultra the update feels more like maintenance than innovation.

Apple iOS 26

Major Liquid Glass redesign with dynamic, translucent visuals.

Deep AI integration (Live Translate, Adaptive Power Mode, smarter Messages & Phone apps) for newer Pro models.

Adds fun customization (auto-tinted icons).

Feels like a generational upgrade, not just an iteration.

Bottom Line:

Samsung plays it safe—refinements without real excitement—while Apple pushes both design and AI forward, especially on its flagship hardware. The gap in ambition between the two approaches is striking.

My S23 Ultra is working well with the new update. Yes, it doesn't look much different but the subtle changes are welcome.

Apple had their major change with ios 26 and Samsung had theirs with one ui 7 most likely apple will refine it's 26 in 10s 27 and samsung is refining one ui 7 with 8. C I spare 7 to 8 and the visual difference is night and day one looks frankly from 2020 and the other looks modern same with ios 18 and ios 26.

When will people realise there is a reason people buy Android instead of apple.
And one of them reasons is they don't like apple.
Stop asking for Android to turn into apple.
If this happens I will go back to pigeons for sending messages.

Ive seen many changes, for the better. OneUi8, has been a leap forward without the ho har of apple. My s23 ultra is working way better than you apple set up. Cant wait to see apple against Samsungs S26 Ultra. It makes the 17max pro look really bad. S26 beats it bad. Apple should be ashamed.
