RAM Plus seems to make my device slower, ruin its battery, and is something I've kept off for a while. Rn sitting at 7gb of ram usage, not really doing much- and have zero issues when I do need to open apps, do activity etc. I leave RAM plus off and not once had an issue.

Have you tested using your device without RAM plus on the ui8 beta? I can almost say youll not run out of availability.

*cant recall what it was before beta but even now no issues using device

There isn't any signs of ram plus being used in that pic. It looks like your ram usage is normal.

For ram plus to be used I'd expect to see ram usage over 90%

Ram plus can be turned off, but looking at it from a general computing angle, having it as big as you can should be better.

Is it actually better? That's a different story

To explain a little on ram plus.

Say you have 5 apps open.

Then you open fortnite, fortnite will use loads of ram, so your phone will stop those 5 apps to make room for your giant app of fortnite.

With ram plus, those 5 apps should be sent to your storage instead. So when you go to open them, it takes a second but they resume where they left off. Without it, those apps would have to restart.

It's a system called swap in linux or a page file in windows. It also prevents running out of ram and your device crashing, though I think it's always on a tiny bit to prevent that regardless of your settings.
On paper more is better. In reality, try it and see.
