While predictive back animation was removed in Beta 2 and re-added in Beta 3, I honestly haven’t seen any real progress.
There aren’t more supported apps, and many rough edges are still there.
For example, when returning to the home screen, the preview shows the static home layout with no animation. Then when you release, it suddenly jumps into the icon zoom-in animation — very jarring and unpolished.
If this is meant to be part of Android’s smoother navigation experience, it still feels far from ready. I also use a Pixel, and the implementation there is much more polished. Samsung should definitely take a cue from that.
I’ll be sending feedback. Hopefully the next version will be better.
