OneUI 7 blur

Hey guys,

I just made a post about the two different types of blur in OneUI 7 and I decided to make a mock-up to show everyone how good the blur could be on widgets. Basically, there are currently two different types of blur in the UI, and the widget one looks awful compared to how it could be.

How widgets could look (ignoring the shape) vs. how they do currently. The blur looks much better on the 'new' side.

The blur for the widget on the left has been directly sampled from the quick settings panel. This means that Samsung can do this and, actually, quite easily as the code is already there. They just need to add it to the widgets. This would allow the blur to be done in real time, and the blur could be made stronger/weaker more easily using this method (and it looks so much better). But what do you guys think? Which do you prefer? Let's try and get this to Samsung so we can have a good home screen experience.

I dont even have that blur. I just have a transparency option, how do you get blur on widgets?

You don't have the one on the right? That is weird.

This could also be good for the new DIY home screen option added in the new Home Up good lock update. This widget should blur what is behind it, but it doesn't.

Same, but I think it's because I use live wallpaper but sent feedback for them to fix it

That sucks then! I don't use live wallpaper so that's why I've never had that problem
