One UI 6.
 My Files app
Option to disable recycle bin is no longer present. This means that files that are "deleted" to free up space remain and actually still take up space for another 30 days.

The option to disable the bin needs to be restored. I do not want deleted items stored in bin for 30 days I want them deleted.

Hello @neonfour,

Thanks for your opinion! As in the Gallery's recycle bin, you can still empty the trash and permanently delete the files in the recycle bin to free up the space 😊 If anyone else would like to see this feature back, please let us know in the comments

Have a good day!

Youre missing the point. Existing functionality has been removed.
Youve taken the choice away from end users.

I'm in support of bringing this back. Give us the choice to enable / disable the recycle bin

Removing the option to disable recycle bin is totally nonsense.

Give it us back!!!

I agree with all replies. It's our choice to make, not samsung's.

After updating to One UI 6.0, the first thing I looked for was the option to disable Trash retention. Unfortunately, I was confused and disappointed to find that this pre-existing option is now missing.
