Is it normal for location icon to keep appearing and disappearing when using location enabled apps. Surely it would be better to show at the start and then return to the little blue dot to show active until the app is closed

Yes, it's a new security feature. Old one was just a green dot if an app is using mic or camera. Now they've got a blue dot to show if an app is using your location. Not sure if you can turn it off. But it does come up as an icon for a second or two then turns to a dot

This is expected behavior in the current system design. The location indicator may appear briefly when an app requests location and then switch to a smaller active indicator depending on usage patterns and permissions.

I’ll pass this suggestion on for further review regarding a more consistent location indicator behavior 😊.

Got to say, not a fan of it personally as I'm hardcore minimalist. Might get to turn it off via goodlock in the future
