I doubt it will do anything as the issue is that the current beta build fingerprint no longer fully certified. This means that it only meets the basic play integrity checks and not the strong integrity check which is required for most secure apps.

I'm guessing they were originally planning to release a new beta on Monday so withdrew the certification for the current beta (and certified the new build) but something came up last minute

Hopefully the newest Beta version that starts rolling out now fixes most of the issues. However Google Wallet may not work with Beta software - Payments with Google Wallet will work as usual when stable version of software is released. If you would like to continue using contactless payments during Beta Programme, you can still use Samsung Wallet instead of Google Wallet.
