Google Pay for football match ticket

Hi, from reading the football club website, I will need Google pay to be able to download my match ticket. Is there a way that this will work with samsung wallet instead? If not unfortunately I have to leave beta 😔

Google pay online should still work, it's only Google pay using your phone in-store to pay that doesn't.

Im assuming the OP is referring to the NFC tickets. I'm unsure if they work or not though 🙈

Google Pay is working fine for anything but payments. It can still store and show your store cards, added tickets, flights, vaccine cards, etc.

Ah yes cheers KirkyLAD for clarifying. Yes I will need to use the NFC to scan the ticket for entrance though, so not sure if this is possible.

I can't guarantee that the ticket will work from Google Pay, as it's an external application and I am not sure how it processes the NFC ticket. Also, I am not sure what kind of ticket that is exactly, but maybe this article will be helpful. It's a guide for Liverpool tickets, but maybe it will also be applicable to yours: NFC Mobile Ticket Access for Android (liverpoolfc.com) 😉

Thanks for this. Yes, the ticket will be similar to this (NFC mobile ticket via apple/google pay), but I am unsure if that is going to work with the limitation of Google Pay been reported for the beta SW. Say for an example, it is as the above link you shared, will it work?

I wish that they just support samsung wallet NFC too, but nothing mentioned in their FAQ or website unfortunately.

Maybe you can check if you can tap ‘Show Code’ on your pass to use the barcode for your ticket as in the article? This way you can always be sure that it will work even if all NFC based solutions fail.
