First thoughts

Been in beta since they first started 

This one is quite poor 

Firstly it barely has any new feature or visual improvements 

Secondly in the few hours I played with I found and reported tons of bugs

I know as a beta there will be bugs and that's the idea of the beta, but compared to other wave ones betas this really seems to be full of bugs

It makes me think it's been rushed and I really don't get it why....is not even like it carries some big upgrades 

I hope by the time the final version is out I'll come back here and eat my words, but if history taught me anything is that don't expect much from Samsung

Agreed, but can I ask what you'd like to see change. Too much change isn't always positive so I guess the real question is what do you feel is really broken that can be resolved within a new UI

Haven't found much that I would use everyday, last beta I asked after every update for the status icons to be put on a toggle switch so I can see my Bluetooth and WiFi calling icon still waiting 🤔

Well firstly all the things we asked in 8.5 and didn't get implemented
There's so much inconsistency in some basic things like menus pop ups, some are translucent some not, some Samsung apps have been updated some still not
The AI features keep getting taunted but never really work: priority notifications and summary notifications are hit and miss but mostly miss, nudge never worked, live activities also really limited, now brief still pretty basic, photo editing also often mediocre but thank god we have AI doodles and cartonify yourself etc

I think this being the first Beta for my own experience today has been good. When you consider until last year we were still on One UI6. 3 separate versions, one half version is quite a feat in my view. Yes there will be a similar pattern with a first beta of the new version which will be similar to One UI 8.5. Visually I am very impressed. I have tweaked a bit and it's quite consistent with AI, performance. Will try camera tomorrow. There will be bugs, its the nature of development. Let us be patient. They are my thoughts.

I haven't experienced any dealbreaking bugs yet, but I have noticed that the new music player is very buggy.

- Different font for quick panel and notifications panel
- Wave animation at different sizes between quick panel and notifications panel
- Does not downscale to 60hz when phone is idle
- Lock screen player doesn't close properly
- Lock screen player doesn't update album covers when songs change (aod)
- Lock screen player does not stop playing 120hz animations when left on the and
- Music is sometimes cutting out (idk if this is related to an earbuds update i got today though)

Overall very inconsistent

I completely understand how frustrating it can be to encounter a lot of bugs.
The beta is indeed an early‑stage build, so you’ll see a mix of new features being introduced and a higher-than‑normal bug count as we work out the kinks.
