Brightness toggle button overlapping onto the phone's homescreen

When I toggle the brightness from the drop down, the menu overlaps to the phone's home screen. This doesn't appear with the sound toggle bar just with the brightness bar as illustrated in the screen recording I have attached.

When you resize the brightness or volume, if you drag it so it is vertical and taking up 3 spaces (so drag the resize until it is below the top of the bar, taking up a total of 3 spaces), it will go vertical. And do the same but horizontal to make it go back.
