Brightness toggle button overlapping onto the phone's homescreen

When I toggle the brightness from the drop down, the menu overlaps to the phone's home screen. This doesn't appear with the sound toggle bar just with the brightness bar as illustrated in the screen recording I have attached.

I seem to remember it happening on On UI 8 but not sure.

I am thinking of it is meant to be like that as you can literally see how bright the screen will look the way it is.

May be is a feature and not a bug 🤔

Realise some may not like it, thinking though it is more likely to be an intended feature. Guess we will find out in due course.

Exactly. Means you can adjust the brightness and see what it looks like with out flicking back and forth.

Thanks for pointing out the brightness‑toggle UI glitch. A quick restart or clearing the System UI cache often resolves temporary overlay issues, so give that a try first.

It's not a bug I've had it confirmed by a member that it was the same on One UI 8.

It's kinda bugged how it works right now. But this feature was there for a long time. Just the way how it jumps around is bugged. The issue is coming from the custom position.
