On the plus side latest beta doesn't hard crash my phone to android recovery, but on the negative side the adaptive screen refresh seems more aggressive, for instance my live wallpaper crawls to a halt, turning on the visible refresh rate in developer setting shows that it's being slowed down to 24hz.

Early betas never had this effect, nor did Android 13.

Surely if you have a live wallpaper that needs high refresh rates then adaptive screen refresh should respect that?

Note that it seemed to be the combination of my live wallpaper and adaptive refresh that was causing the hard crashes last time.. That seems to have been fixed, but I'm not liking this forced refresh rate side effect.

This has always been the case. 24hz when not touching the display. Whether you have a live wallpaper or not. 👍

My live wallpaper never slowed down like it does now though, so something has changed?

I thought it previously went from 120 to 60 but now it goes from 120 to 24, likely why people are getting better battery on the beta

That's t probably what it is then.. Sounds like we need an option to choose performance or battery (or variations of, such as minimum refresh options.. Such as 60 Hz..

Yeah the refresh rate is funky now and the phone feels slow because it constantly changes to 24Hz when my fingers are off the screen

If you notice any problems, do not hesitate to report them via the Samsung Members app attaching log files :hand-with-index-and-middle-fingers-crossed:.

No issues as such, although the screen refresh as mentioned is not ideal.. Which I presume doesn't warrent log files.
