Battery % in Status Bar has skinnier font?

I've noticed that the battery percentage in the status bar seems to be a lot thinner in the update. 

I've read multiple reports of people struggling to read it since oneui 7, but never had a problem myself. 

But since the beta 6 update, although I can read it, I can feel it straining my eyes with my system font, which was already quite slim. 

So much so I've turned off 'show battery percentage' in settings, to avoid the strain.

Anyone else noticed this?

The battery percentage font has clearly been changed at a system level, making it less legible.

Changing your font hasn't fixed anything, it's mitigated an underlying issue.

I personally would rather stick with the font I enjoy looking at, as it's what I see everywhere throughout the UI, and for my tastes, the other choices are ugly.

In answer to your question, I would consider the ability to manually change the font style for the battery icon specifically, a fix, but I definitely don't expect it.

I cant see mine but tbh dont bother me. I use the battery widget
