Samsung Portable SSD T5 (500 GB) not working anymore.

Hi!

For almost a year i've been using my Samsung Portable SSD t5 (500 GB). But now it stopped working. It's not recognized by my Macbook Pro and some other mac and windows computer i've tried it on. The blue light next to the usb connector      is on though. 

Already reinstalled the "samsungportablessd" software and updated it to the latest version. But I don't know if that's helpfull because it's not recognized on the other systems as well. 

My macbook is on 10.12.6 Sierra.

Any ideas what this could be?

Hi thanks for the response.

just got a new usb-c cable and that seemed to be the problem because it works now. Did not expect the cable being the error because the blue ssd light was working.
