Samsung Odyssey G7 JOG Button (Menu Button) doesn't work properly

I've seen this on a number of fourms, the JOG button seems to overheat if the monitor has been on too long. My main issue here is the auto detect display just doesn't work. I use this monitor for work and gaming. So if I've been working, I can't change input using the JOG without unplugging the Display Port each time.

This monitor was bought brand new in October and this is such a pain when it should be hassle free just to switch inputs.

Been having this issue with the monitor from new 4 years or so ago. They know its a fault but they don't have a fix so just keep having it back in. Goes wrong again after a few days so it's worthless.

Yeah ive noticed, it works someday and not the others. If it does stick, I just have to unplug and replug whatever cable I'm needing

Going to try the new firmware on the website now but I'm not holding out much hope. Ironically having to unplug everything to even get it to the menu to do that is difficult20231101_163520_1000008901_1698856522.jpg

I literally have the exact same problem, did you manage to fix it and if so how?

Nope, it fixed itself and hasn't broken in a while. It's a pain

Do you recommend I leave it be, return it to the shop I bought it from, repair it myself (if I can find the part in Europe cause I tried looking and I can’t find it) or just wait it out and hope for the best (I tested it and it still works when I let if cool for a few hours)

Hmmm i would unplug everything and see if it cools down and sorts itself. I wouldn't try and fix it yourself. If it were handy, I'd take it back to the shop where you got it
