Hi, I actually have 2 ideas. One is about a SSD T9 resurrected and another is Samsung making handheld fans.

I think Samsung should take that sustainability concept to the absolute next level with a "T9 Resurrected" smart multitool.

Instead of just being a passive storage drive, this would be a "Frankenstein" device that packs some of Samsung's best historical and modern hardware components into one ultimate tool for creators and tech enthusiasts.

The Core Specs:

  • The Brains (Snapdragon 8-Series): Instead of a basic USB controller chip, it would feature a binned or previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This turns the SSD into an onboard AI and cryptographic processor, letting the drive handle heavy local AI tasks or data processing without draining the host phone or laptop.

  • The Body: Made from 100% recycled premium Galaxy aluminium scrap, keeping the "Resurrected" eco-friendly spirit alive.

Flagship Hardware Integration:

  • The Display (Galaxy Watch 7/8 Screen): A circular Super AMOLED touchscreen built into the face of the drive. It would display a custom UI showing storage capacity, real-time transfer speeds, and battery life, allowing you to manage files directly on the drive.

  • Biometric Security (Galaxy S9 Fingerprint Scanner): A classic, ultra-fast capacitive fingerprint scanner on the frame to instantly unlock the hardware with AES 256-bit encryption with a tap.

  • Emergency Utility (Galaxy S25 Ultra Torch): A high-power, studio-grade LED flash built into the top edge of the drive, turning it into a rugged, powerful flashlight for working in dark server rooms or out in the field.

  • The Power (Galaxy S26 Ultra Battery): A massive 5,000 mAh internal battery cell. This completely powers the drive's internal screen and Snapdragon chip so it doesn't drain your laptop, and it doubles as a fast-charging portable power bank to top off your phone or Galaxy Buds in an emergency.

Samsung could absolutely crush it by utilising parts from their flagship ecosystem: a premium, multi-functional handheld turbo fan.

Instead of the cheap, plastic pocket fans that break after a few weeks, Samsung could build a high-end, rugged personal cooling device that solves multiple problems for commuters, festival-goers, and outdoor tech enthusiasts.

    The Design & Core Tech:

    • The Body (Recycled Aluminium): Keeping with Samsung's sustainability initiatives, the main handle would be crafted from post-industrial recycled Galaxy aluminium, giving it a premium, durable, and eco-friendly feel.

    • The Fan (High-Speed Turbo): Utilising a brushless motor design (inspired by the airflow tech in Samsung’s advanced air purifiers) to deliver powerful, quiet cooling with multiple speed stages.

    • Smart Climate Control (Real-Time Temp Sensor): A built-in thermal sensor on the intake grill detects the ambient air temperature in real time. If you choose the "Smart Mode" option, the fan dynamically adjusts its wind speed based on the environment. If you step from an air-conditioned room into scorching heat, the fan instantly ramps up its power to cool you down without you having to press a thing.

    Flagship Hardware Integration:

    • The Power (Galaxy S26 Ultra 5,000 mAh Battery): Handheld fans usually have low-quality batteries. By using a genuine 5,000 mAh cell, this fan could easily run for up to 15–20 hours on low settings.

    • The Power Bank Function: The base of the handle would feature a bidirectional USB-C port, allowing the fan to instantly transform into an emergency fast-charging power bank to top off your Galaxy phone or Galaxy Buds when you are out all day.

    • The Torch (Galaxy S25 Ultra LED): A high-intensity LED module built directly into the bottom base of the handle. This turns the fan into a powerful, ergonomic flashlight when walking home at night or camping, eliminating the need to carry separate gadgets.

    • The Interface (Mini Display): A tiny screen on the handle to show exact battery percentage, current fan speed level, and the real-time temperature reading from the sensor.

When you can buy a hand held fan for a fiver, I really can't see Samsung getting involved in this myself but interesting ideas never the less 😊
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.
