Strange post but I do understand.
I hate windows in general. Updates sent every time I boot it. Compatability issues. Driver updates every time I want to play a game. Game updates every time I open steam. Windows in general is a pain in the butt.
But the unfortunate thing is that you consciously decided to buy a device that runs Windows, and another device that runs android. They are different EcoSystems... and you went in with your eyes open.
You can use Google functions in windows. Google photos sync, Google ecosystem apps such as Google sheets and Google docs. You can also use Google drive as a main backup method that both devices can access seamlessly.
However, If you dont need a full windows functionality from a laptop, then a chrome book might suit better ? Basic, easy, and running android as its OS.
I use a windows PC for work and that is fine. It is needed for corporate reasons, office, share point etc. I also use a windows home gaming PC for playing all my games, and this is where I find my frustrations kick in.
I am really looking forward to the release of the 'Steam Machine' which runs on Linux and not Windows. I will be buying one, and with the hope to get rid of this windows gaming desktop I have, and replace it with Linux and steam OS.
I digress slightly. But my suggestion is to either;
- Get a chrome book with Android and not Windows.
- a samsung tablet with android and a keyboard cover. Sharing between phone and tab is really easy with this method.
- You can alsouse Samsung Dex if you have an S series devices from the past 4+years. Samsung Dex actually works pretty well. You can do most PC type stuff using Dex.
👌The alternative is to stick with what you have, and continue with these challenges between windows and android. This is what most people do.
Sorry I cant be more help. If the windows and android differences dont work for you then these are choices you might like to make.
