I just did the bios update from Windows 11 update system.
It moved from bios v55 to bios v60.
After the update the usa of usb-c as display port doesn't work at all.
The notebook doesn't recognize the external monitor (a Samsung one).
I moved from previous usb-c cable to the hdmi output.
@samsung support: please don't say to restore the notebook or check drivers as everything is updated and just before the bios upgrade everything was working.

It seems that the issue is software related, at least for people who got the BIOS update like me.
Actually I'm with a reserved beta for BIOS and everything is back as before!
It seems that the final version will be released at the beginning of August.
If the external usb-c monitor is not compulsory for your i suggest to wait the stable release.

Just as an update. Samsung still has no fix for this issue and is requiring I send my computer in for a technician to diagnose the issue that many of us are experiencing. Definitely not having a great first experience with Samsung Support.

Look at my previous message. Samsung is testing a beta version of the BIOS. Seems that it completely fixes the issue.
They should release the public release early in august.
I'm beta testing it and I can say that eveything seems restored.

Samsung diagnosed my issue as being a hardware failure not software/bios. My USB charging port is dead. It's under warranty and they sent it to New Jersey to replace the motherboard, which includes the embedded USB port. If you are not Samsung tech support, you should NOT be posting as if your issue is the same for everyone on this thread.

I got my Book4 Edge on Saturday. Everything was fine. Including the external monitor over my USB-C docking station.
After a BiOS-Update it doesn't function. So for me it is clearly a BIOS/Software problem.
Hope Samsung will really get a new BIOS version out in early august.

Update:
I sent my laptop to Samsung service center under warranty.
The service center has installed a new bios dated 22 July 2025 which has fixed the issues.
I suggest updating the laptops to the latest bios. I understand it is rolling out now.
