I just did the bios update from Windows 11 update system.
It moved from bios v55 to bios v60.
After the update the usa of usb-c as display port doesn't work at all.
The notebook doesn't recognize the external monitor (a Samsung one).
I moved from previous usb-c cable to the hdmi output.
@samsung support: please don't say to restore the notebook or check drivers as everything is updated and just before the bios upgrade everything was working.

I tried also to reset the bios parameters, no effect.
It's incredible that nobody from official support is getting our complaints in charge and answering.
Very very very bad experience on this notebook: my first and definitively last Samsung device in my life!

Samsung!!! Get your act together!!! I think that is the reason why people prefer Apple for higher quality service and products! Never again getting a laptop from Samsung....so many issues. When I had Asus I never had wild issues as such.
Monday
Just talked to Samsung Germany about the problem. Their Knowledgebase is empty, no one reported the problem.
Please all ... just open a case with Samsung so that they become aware of the problem.
In my case we tried to roll back the latest MS Updates, but that didn't help.
The workaround i found is to just disable the first USB Entry in the Hardware Manager. You will loose the right USB Port, but the USB-C Ports will start working again .. and the Batteriedisplay also.
And again .... open cases with Samsung to make them aware of the problem.
No case .. no problem ... no solution ...

I wrote to italian support.
Actually I'm receiving any feedback from them!
I see a different configuration than your:

Disable the first Qualcomm USB3 in the list and reconnect the port extender. Reboot .... and lets see what happens.

The battery meter is back but no way to turn the monitor communicate through the usb-c cable.
When I boot the device with usb-c/display port connected the battery meter turn off, the usb-c stays disabled.

Sorry to hear that .... i'm only using the internal display ... so we all have to wait for Samsung & Microsoft to fix this.
Please all ... open cases with Samsung to make sure they understand that this is a real issue.

I have a Book Edge 4. My charging port mysteriously stopped working last Friday. I uninstalled, reinstalled drivers and even reset Windows to the original Samsung/Microsoft image as if I opened it new. Did not correct the issue. I took mine to a local Samsung service center last Sunday. Still waiting on status as the location on Preston Road in Frisco Texas only has 1 tech... can you believe, 1 tech?! I suspect a hardware failure vs software failure.
Did you get your issue resolved and if yes, what was the solution?
Thanks.

That's a workaround, but not a fix. You should not have to give up one port to enable another. That's just wrong. I dropped mine off at a local Samsung service center as they need to fix this right.
Thanks for sharing this though as this clearly points towards some software related issue vs hardware.

If you're only using the laptop display and no externals, you may have a problem also. You should consider having this investigated.
I am going to reply back to this thread when I get a status update on my laptop currently sitting at a Samsung tech center to be repaired.
Personally I think it's hardware failure not software.
