Hi, just bought a 'Galaxy Book 4 Pro' from Samsung, upon opening the pc began to update windows. After update the web camera didn't function, got the error 0xA00F4244 (no camera found) when opening the camera app. It looks like the camera driver is not working and there is none available as the pc is a OEM version (they says).
How do I get this web camera to work again? Have seen a specialist nearby, and he said send it to repair - but that is stupid just for a corrupt camera driver!
Anybody knows what to do?

That doesn't work for me and i have tried almost all the ways I can find in the videos on the youtube. It doesn't recognize any camera in the device manager.

Hello,
As posted earlier, my solution was good only for camera stopped working after updates. In my case, camera on Book4Pro stop working after Windows latest updates. So, I rolled back three drivers related to camera to their original (factory) versions and it worked again.
My advice is rolling back camera drivers to the original condition, if the problem occurred after updates. Unlocking camera by Function + f10 is for privacy, nothing to do with camera not functioning.
If the defect occurred before updates, then this approach will not work.
Hope this help!

Hi Leo, glad you resolved your problem. My camera stopped working when I installed the optional Windows 11 version (don't think it was actually an update cos it sat in the bottom of my screen as an orange broken circle until I installed it). Since then I've done everything I can think of apart from factory reset of the laptop, or contact Samsung (not that their help options include 'camera not working' and the error message isn't listed in the radio button list of error messages....
So, I did try to find the driver(s) to roll back and I can't find where they are. I'm sure I've seen them before.
I now remember I used CC Cleaner to update my camera driver. I've gone in and tried to revert it to the 2023 one (the only one there) and it can't/won't do it.
If you have any suggestions I'd be grateful!
Thanks and sorry to bother you.

Hello Gojigirl,
Here is my approach. Login to your laptop as administrator.
Check camera and see if it works now. Hope this helps. I also use CCleaner Pro for driver updates and had to rollback 3 drivers related to camera as seen below. After rolling back, I checked the skipped box for future driver updates.

Hi Leo, that is so kind of you. Interestingly I had already navigated to that camera and then the driver dialogue box, and found that the 'Roll Back Driver' instruction is greyed out! So there's nothing I can do. A bit crazy really.
I sort of feel I'll have to reset the computer or something like that....
Thanks again and if you have any other suggestions - thanks in advance!
Best wishes
Carol
