One UI 8 is just around the corner

One UI 8, the latest version of Samsung’s mobile interface is almost here, bringing with it a whole host of new and improved features. Rolling out this summer on our brand-new foldable devices—which will be launched at Galaxy Unpacked July 2025 — and then expanding to more Galaxy devices. This is the first time ever that a new version of One UI has been released on our incredible foldable smartphones. But that’s not the only thing that’s new.

One UI 8 – Made for AI

The groundbreaking AI features first launched back in January on the S25 series are in for a major enhancement with One UI 8. Our artificial intelligence has got even smarter, letting you have natural conversations with AI that knows what you’re looking at so it can give you real-time feedback.

One UI 8 will also understand you even better. This means that it’ll offer you more personalised suggestions that fit in with your daily routine. Now Bar and Now Brief, which debuted on One UI 7, will be able to give you even more customised information and suggestions to help you go about your day-to-day thanks to AI-curated information.

Great tech needs high-tech security

To make sure all the data needed for this personalised AI experience is kept safe, you need robust security. And robust security is exactly what Samsung Knox Vault provides. It ensures that your sensitive data is stored separately from the rest of your user information, which means that no one can physically or remotely access it. And you can even choose whether to process data only on your device, rather than on the cloud, which can provide an extra layer of security.

Your day-to-day made better

Beyond our brilliant AI features, One UI 8 is full of tools to help make your life easier and your mobile experience more seamless. Auracast is a broadcast audio technology that will let you connect audio devices via QR code. This means that multiple devices will be able to join a shared audio stream without having to manually set everything up.

We’ve also made the Reminder app more convenient and intuitive. If you’re heading off on a family trip, you can manage all your reminders from the same place with a newly designed UX that makes things easier than ever. You can add to-do lists with just one tap, and you can even record voice reminders on the go.
