Galaxy Unpacked July 2024: what was announced

Wow! Samsung have just turned up the summer heat an extra notch by dropping a bunch of exciting new devices at Galaxy Unpacked July 2024. The event was livestreamed, giving viewers around the globe a first glimpse of the new lineup. Introducing the Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Buds3 Pro, Galaxy Buds3,  Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Watch7. Here’s the scoop on the big reveal.

Galaxy Z Flip6
Let’s begin with the Galaxy Z Flip6. Imagine a smaller-than-pocket-sized phone that can flip open to reveal a HUGE screen. That's the Flip6! It's got a sleek new design, plus 300mAh extra juice in the battery, so you can chat with friends all day without worrying about running out. The wide-angle camera received a major upgrade to 50 MP too, so get ready for epic social media pics, especially with the FlexCam, which helps take photos from all sorts of funky angles.

Find your favourite colours on the Galaxy Flip6, which include: Mint, Silver Shadow, Yellow and Blue. Plus, online-exclusive colours: Crafted Black, White and Peach.

Galaxy Z Fold6
The sister Galaxy Z Fold6 smartphone folds open to reveal a massive screen, a bit like a tiny tablet you can carry anywhere. The Flip6 and the Fold6 both come with the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3  perfect for watching videos, gaming, or even getting some work done. This phone is lighter than ever before, plus the Flex Hinge folds it shut nice and small too without any gaps, so it fits right in your pocket.  

The Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 comes with Galaxy AI features such as Circle to Search, Live Translate, Photo Assist and more. Send messages directly from the FlexWindow, with Chat Assist on the Flip6. Let AI transform your drawing into an image with Sketch to Image on the Fold6. 

Galaxy Ring
A new era of wellness tracking has arrived! Teased at Galaxy Unpacked January 2024, the unique Galaxy Ring is a health tracker that wraps around your finger, like a cool piece of jewellery. The Galaxy AI tracks your sleep, steps, and even gives you personalised health tips. Plus, it lasts for days on a single charge, so you won't have to worry about it dying on you.

Galaxy Watches
For those who prefer a more classic feel on your wrist rather than a finger, we’ve got you covered with the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Watch7.

The Ultra can survive anything you throw at it, from crazy hikes at 9,000m altitude to 10 ATM water pressure and 55°C heat. The Watch7 is the most stylish smartwatch yet with a new floated design that gives the effect of the display floating on the frame. Don’t think it’s all style and no substance though, for example, the new 3nm processor optimises the battery life for longer lasting power and quick switching between apps.

The big story here is how Galaxy AI on the Buds3 series will take your music listening experience to a whole new level. Based on your ear shape and wearing habits, the AI-boosted algorithm analyses sound detected through the mics in real-time. Galaxy AI will then optimise your listening experience by adjusting the sound to conform to your fit with pinpoint precision.
