With T1 and Bilibili Gaming giving us a thrilling 3-2 in the final that went the distance, now more than ever, is the time to be talking about T1 and their Samsung display partnership.

Samsung have been the official display partner of T1 Entertainment and Sports since 2020. Samsung provides gaming monitors to T1 players and teams, and hosts events where fans can interact with players and see the monitors in action!

T1 is a global esports organisation that also has teams and players in other competitive gaming segments, including Valorant, Fortnite, Dota 2, PUBG, Super Smash Bros., Apex Legends, Overwatch, and FIFA Online 4.

T1 history in League of Legends

SK Telecom created the team SK Telecom T1 S in 2012. Thus creating the first T1 team in League of Legends esports. In 2013 they created a second team called SK Telecom T1 K, and won their first League of Legends World Championship in the same year. The following year in the winter season, SK Telecom K won the tournament without losing a single game. In 2015 SK Telecom merged the two teams to compete under a new name: SKT T1; and at the 2015 World Championship, SKT won the title with only losing one game in the finals -- creating a record of 15-1 over the course of the tournament. The following years included many highs and lows for the team, up until October 2019 when they rebranded as T1.

From 2013, T1 has had many victories, including winning the World Championship 4 times and achieving the Best e-Sports Team of the year award from 2013 up to 2024.

T1 players have praised the Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors. Here’s what they have to say:

Both Faker and Zeus prefer the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 for its fast response time, metal design, and its Infinity Core lighting.

Keria and Gumayusi prefer the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 for its white and glossy back cover, large screen and Multi View feature.

Whilst Oner found it hard to choose, and likes all of the new Odyssey models for their large screens and wide displays.

World’s Finals 2024

T1 held a record of never losing to an LPL (League of Legends Pro League) team in a best-of-five at the League of Legends World Championship. On the other hand, Bilibili Gaming (BLG) had never lost to T1 in a best-of-five internationally, so everyone was geared up for a spectacular final. And it didn’t disappoint: it was an epic final that left you on the edge of your seat!

BLG won the first round, with T1 bouncing back and grabbing the second. BLG came back swinging to secure the win for the third match, but T1 responded with another win, making it a nail biting 2 for 2.

It was very back and forth: when one team dominated the other team was destroyed; both teams having an answer for each other's plays. BLG secured The First Blood in each match, and it was anyone's guess who was going to be victorious.

Keria then cancelled a TP that gave T1 the advantage, which allowed Faker to help them win a crucial team fight that carried the Korean team 3-2 to a back-to back World Championship title. There’s no wonder why Faker was awarded the MVP of the Grand Final!

It was both T1’s and Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok's fifth World title; with Faker being the only player to win five, and who also managed to secure a 500 All-Time Kills record during the finals.
