It wasn’t long ago that AI felt like something that belonged squarely in the future. Creating images, writing texts, or planning your day with just the touch of a button? The stuff of sci-fi, surely. But now, these amazing capabilities can be found in the palm of your hand – quite literally. Samsung’s Galaxy S series now comes with Gemini as its default assistant.
Gemini is Google’s powerful AI assistant, designed to help you do more, think smarter, and save time. Let’s take a look at some of the ways that Gemini can make your day-to-day smoother and more productive.
First things first…
To access Gemini from your S25 series smartphone, all you need to do is press and hold the side button then tap the Gemini icon! To ask questions, request information or whatever you want to do, you can either type or speak like you were chatting with a friend.
Complex requests? Not so complex with Gemini…
If you’re trying to plan a trip but you’re feeling a bit lost even before you’ve booked anything, Gemini is just what you need. Its specialty is processing complex tasks and turning them into actions. If you’re watching a video for holiday inspo, you can ask Gemini to list all the places mentioned in the video and save it as a note. From there, Gemini can even plan an itinerary for you, recommending places to see, stay, eat, and drink.
Want to get creative? Let’s talk about it
When you’re trying to be creative, sometimes it helps to talk it out. If you’re trying to edit an image, study a page from a textbook, write a story… you can chat with Gemini to get ideas, tips and inspiration. All you need to do is open Gemini and tap the + symbol. Here you can upload or take a photo or select a document; once that’s done, tap “Talk Live about this”.
Now you can talk away with Gemini, asking questions and getting suggestions. For example, if you’ve taken a photo but aren’t quite sure about the composition, you can ask Gemini to give you tips on how to get a better shot, what you could do to edit the photo, and even on the best ways to share your work!
Read smarter
Have you ever found yourself rushing to get to the end of an article but not quite taking it all in? If you’re reading on the Samsung Internet browser, you can just tap the Gemini button at the bottom of the app, select “Summary”. Gemini will give you the key points of whatever you’re reading, so you can focus on what really matters!
You can even get Gemini’s help when you’re writing your own texts. If you’re not sure about the tone or grammar of a text or email, you can ask it to give it a once over, making sure it sounds as good as it should.
The sky’s the limit
These are just a few suggestions of the amazing things that you can do with Gemini on your Galaxy device. One of the many great things about Gemini is that you can just keep trying out new things, asking what it can do and discovering new things for yourself!
