Q990C Volume Keeps going to 100 on it's own

I have worked with support twice.... disconnected all possible sources, unplugged remote, upgraded firmware, hard reset (holding +/-) and no luck as of yet....

Had been working great but then 3 nights ago, bam - suddenly volume starts going to 100 on it's own.

Soundbar is brand new... 3 weeks old... used maybe a dozen times.... are there any other resource or do I just return it at this point? (which... where can i even get a box to fit this since Samsung is too cheap to supply a return box for a defective product)

I've heard of a TV's volume automatically going up to 100: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/samsung-tv-volume-goes-up-automatically-to-100/m-p/8381844/hi... (apparently caused by a 3rd party remote) but not a soundbar.

If you have a Samsung smart  TV remote, unpair it from the TV and pair it again. My q600b did this for a while, and I think this helped 🙃
