I've purchased 2x LU28R55 as productivity monitors and ever since I've got them, I've had terrible (self diagnosed) coil whine when the brightness is below 40%
After numerous attempts changing all the settings, I've identified that the whine/high-pitched noise reduces when I change the displayport version to 1.1 from 1.4 - however it does not cut it out completely.
And when trying to remedy the situation when connected through HDMI - nothing seems to reduce the noise.
It's impossible to work with the monitors over 20% brightness in a dark room - and I greatly appreciate a solution please!

Can relate.. I can also hear an unbearable coil whine on my LU28R55 on brightness below 43 and in eye-saver mode.

i have the same problem. coil whining noise. I returned the monitor to amazon, i'm very surprised (and sad) about samsung as I thought quality was much higher.
