If you have checked that everyting is connected and you can change the soundbar volume from your TV remote follow these steps.
1. Press Home
2. Go all the way to the left and find settings (do not click)
3. Now go 1 click up on the setting tap.
4. Go all the way to the right.
5. Now you should see an option saying PCM, Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital+.
6. Change that setting and your soundbar should start to process sound.
The reason i found was that not all soundbars can play sound from the Dolby Digital+ setting, but the Samsung TV seems to set that as the default option. Follow the pictures for help.
