A few features of Galaxy AI can be done offline already, while yes some do need to use interwebs to complete the task.

Gemini, ChatGPT all need Internet connection that's just the way it is and I can't see that changing tbh.

Imagine how much storage you'd need on your phone to answer questions people may want to ask AI via their phone? It would be impossible imo.

HI @JinsiLink great first post and one I am an advocate of, I call it, Jarvis-type AI, of the Ironman movie franchise.

But whilst we await what AI brings in the future @OmegaMutant has a great link.

Regarding device vs Cloud, more manufacturers are splitting device and Cloud-based AI, partly down to security but also maybe processing power or paywall.

Apple entered AI way late, calling it Apple Intelligence, notably their marketing pushed device AI with some SECURE Cloud based AI.

Thats where all the news is pointing us wanting ai to be the bad guy, taking jobs ect rather than being just another tool
