S Pen Creator Edition Issue

Hello Everyone,

I've had the S Pen CE (Creator Edition) for quite some time, but stopped using it shortly after buying it because it takes WAY too much pressure to register anything.  The tablet/phone (I have the S23 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite) senses the pen just fine, but when it comes to writing or drawing or even selecting an icon, I feel like I'm about to break the screen just to get anything out of it.  I've searched high and low for a fix, but have come up empty... Either the handful of solutions didn't work, or the problem didn't match mine.  I've tried new nibs, I've tried titanium nibs, I've tried everything I can find in-store or on Amazon, short of giving up and tossing it.  I'm pretty sure the time frame for returning it to Best Buy dried up months ago, and I'm reluctant to complain to Samsung becasue 9/10 times the "solution" is as follows: "Too bad, spend $100 on another one."

Anyone have a similar issue?  I've read that the ferrite core could be damaged, but I've never dropped it or used it in any way to cause damage (within reason).  I didn't use it long enough to have the chance.

What gives?

Hello, I am sorry to hear this I would say the best thing to do is go directly to the sauna either in their live chat or via phone if it is within a year of purchase you should still have a warranty on it and you should be able to get it sorted through there and if they say they can't thene say I tellest have a voucher in a new one due this onone'sault which is not a user error of this doesn't work ill do some research to help you alsw3el once again I'm so so sorry this is happening to you.

Hey, thanks!  I think I figured it out... The ferrite core has a chip missing out of it right where it connects to the nib, so I'm almost positive that's the issue.  Unfortunately, in trying to fix it (using "liquid iron" in the form of JB Weld), I probably just voided any warranty.  As a cherry on top, the fix just seemed to kill it completely.  So I decided to get curious and take it all apart, haha...  On the brighter side, I have an S Pen Pro that has been dead for some time as well (I have really bad luck with expensive things), and I may be able to use the parts from this to fix that.  I did, after all, replace the screen on my S23 Ultra by myself, so I'm a little more confident than I was before.  I also have a regular S Pen from my tablet and the one from my S23U so I'm not exactly hurting for a way to write.  :smiling-face: I appreciate the kind words and suggestions!
