Hi everyone

I bought this charger that I think might be fake, its model is EP-AT80. The charger seems very light in my hand and the ink of the logos and words typed on it seems fadeable

According to this article, my charger is original. But the ink thing is troubling me, as you see I attached a picture of how it's faded

For anyone else worried their charger might be fake, a good way to check is to weigh it. Not foolproof as the fakers have started putting bits of steel inside the case to make the weight "feel right" but they rarely get it exactly right.

For example Noor's TA-800 charger should weigh 63 grams according to the SAMSUNG spec sheet.

Hello @Noor Alhuda. I'm sorry to tell you but your Samsung charger adapter you shared on this Samsung community is fake! I bought a Samsung 45W charger from a trustworthy store in Nigeria meant to charge my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G but it is fake. I used the Samsung 45W charger on my Samsung Galaxy A05s but when I turn the phone off, it will be showing yellow triangle underneath which is not meant to show and it also shows that "check your charger connection" when I plug the phone with the charger adapter when it is turned on regardlessof the type C cable used and also, the type C cable that came with the Samsung 45W charger had VIETNAN written on one of the metal side instead of VIETNAM. I have not tried the fake Samsung 45W charger on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G but I know it will show the same thing on it and I am going to return the charger from where I bought it from and report them that they sell fakes. I earlier bought a Samsung 25W charger from another store within that general shopping arena but it wasn't fake.

So, how'd I know fake and original? Simple. I just found it out recently. Just visit this Samsung website: https://www.samsung.com/pk/support/your-service/check-warranty and click location in any country listed there as there are only six Arab countries listed there. Then type in the serial number of the Samsung product you bought. If it displays "Invalid code. Please input valid Serial OR IMEI Number.", then it's fake. But if something pops up, that means it is original. The thing that pops up, honestly, I don't understand it but it makes me know my Samsung product is original. I tried it on the Serial number of my Samsung Galaxy A05s, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and my Samsung 25W charger and it popped something up but for the Samsung 45W charger, it showed that  "Invalid code. Please input valid Serial OR IMEI Number."

Input the serial number of your Samsung device and you'll see, it'll pop up something as it is not fake I believe. But sorry, when I inputed the Serial number of that charger/adapter you shared here, it displayed: "Invalid code. Please input valid Serial OR IMEI Number."

I'm still awed on how this scammers manage to make their products look exactly like genuine Samsung products; even the logo but at least the serial number is fake.

Hope Samsung does more to combat these fakes going around. Hope I helped. Thanks.
