How wireless charging works

I found a short 15 minutes video about how wireless charging works. I only use wireless charging occasionally, my thoughts that it consumes extra power in the process were confirmed now by this video. I usually charge my phone traditionally with a cable and brick from a stable electricity connection and only rarely I use fast charging. I believe this habit saves battery longevity because I am really on about battery having a long span during daily use and for a long time as possible.

That's interesting. So you're not taken by your dual Samsung wireless charger from your gift pack? My wife uses one for her phone and watch - thinks it's great.
I have a wireless charger in my alarm clock radio but still always plug a cable in to my phone instead.

I bought my phone from Currys so I didn't get anything free, except the deal for extra memory.😊
Wireless charging is popular and it's got its pros and cons. When I tried it many years ago, I thought my phone was broke because of how slowly it was charging, so I was never tempted again, also I don't like to interrupt my phone from charging unless it reaches at least 75%. I know sometimes it can't be avoided though but as long as it doesn't become a habit, it's good to have a conservative approach towards the battery.

I'm so sorry. I must have confused you with one of the other Samsung Stars who had posted previously saying they received the promo gift of a dual charger and phone case. Apologies!

I believe its all about options.

Infact as tech evolves companies might even ditch the USB C with quickshare becoming faster via Bluetooth and WiFi etc.

When my S21 ultra refused to charge on holiday due to supposedly water issues. I had to charge wirelessley to get me through my holidays.

I guess the key is to stick with official and known brands to keep your devices safe. 😊

I personally prefer wired for my phones and wireless for watches and buds.

Tbh I get it, wireless is more sustainable for the environment. I expected if they ditch wired charging they will make advancements in wireless charging.

So true about sticking to known brands. The risk of fire from dodgy chargers is well documented.

pros and cons with wireless charging,  I only tend to use wireless charging for mobiles periodically  though.  I just find it to be relatively slow and inefficient though I am sure advances will be made in the future.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I think because wireless charging keeps your phone in a high heated state for much longer than a wired charge, it's one of the many reasons I do not use wireless charging on my phone. As for my buds and watch, it's just necessary and convenient (seeing as the watch can only charge wireless).
