Slow internet connection even hard wired

My new cu7000 85 tv is hard wired to an optical cable that has 500mbps speed. But it gets only about 20mbps on tv. I tested it with a laptop. The same port and same cable. I got 509mbps on the laptop but only 21mbps on tv. Needless to say, the streaming stucks  often. Really frustrating!! Can anyone provide some real support on the issue? Otherwise, I’ll have to call Amazon to return it.

Just to confirm, is your TV hard wired directly to your router?

Yes, it is.

Yes, Cat7 cable.

Those steps are for tv NOT connect to wired network. My problem is that it is really slow while connected. Nevertheless I still did the reset tv and reset network steps. Result is still the same — with the same port on the router and the same Ethernet cable, my laptop always gets around 500Mbps while the tv only fluctuates around 20Mbps. What other suggestions can we try?

Reset your tv to factory
