Hi, i have a samsung 40" around 7-10 years old. It has worked perfectly until recently (3 months) it has stsrtes turning the volume up to max and sometimes down to 0 with the red light flashing really fast for minutes after it has reached either max or lowest volume. It turns its self off sometimes and turns its self on sometimes along with changing the tv mode (hdmi 1, hdmi 2, freeview etc) does anyone have a fix for this problem?
It doesnt have any buttons on the tv only touch buttons and ofcourse the IR remote control. I was thinking maybe the IR on the tv has malfunctioned but if i remove the back and unplug the IR i wont have anyway of turning the tv on to see if this is the problem.
