Have a service call scheduled, but before I pay the service fee does anyone have any troubleshooting tips or insight into whether this is even fixable?

@SA124: Is the shadowing effect in the image present in all channels and sources? If you head to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test, is the issue visible in the sample image?
In the meantime, please try powering off your TV, unplug it at the wall for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power back on using the remote. I also recommend disconnecting any external devices, just in case the issue is connection related.
