One Remote - Why can't we find with SmartThings

Given how able the SmartThings app is, and that I can find my headphones, tablet, phone and watch all from each other, I'm really surprised there isn't a 'Find my One Remote' option. 

Honestly, with it's slim profile I lose my One Remote at least 3-4 times a week. 

I'm contemplating adding a SmartTag to it for this exact reason, I'm just surprised it doesn't have a tracker, or at least an audio beacon, we could use!

Wouldn't that be more of a case that the one remote has to have the feature and hardware as opposed to to Smartthings? Which is software?

My suggestion here would be that the remote has the hardware/functionality that allows it to be found by SmartThings in the same way I use my watch to find my phone.

I imagine it's a battery thing it would die a lot faster then BT LE mode

Also this would ramp the price up, I don't want to pay more cose you can't look after your remote
